Creating a space to show true hospitality to those that know it best
Bridging the gap to physical health, mental health, and general wellbeing resources to those in the hospitality industry that may need it most.
Help to serve our cause.
The Reality that many of our Hospitality Community Members face:
-
32% of industry workers have insurance that is provided for them by their job. Insurance rates have gone up 6-7% in the last year, leaving many people left without work-provided insurance, and without help.
Not only does illness or injury prevent our hospitality community from making their living, but is also causing them an absurd amount of money to seek treatment. We want to be able to advocate for you, so that you can get the help you need, and the care that you deserve.
-
66% of industry workers that struggle with their mental health say that the leading cause of their struggle is their job. Studies show that 3 in 5 hospitality workers struggle with their mental health, and one in two have had thoughts of suicide or self harm.
Long days, inconsistent pay, taking care of others day in and day out, many workers feel constant stress from this.
Many industry workers do not have access to or can afford mental health services. These are the things that Help the House Foundation wants to be there to help with.
-
44% of service industry workers think that they will be able to retire comfortably, at the average age of retirement. For perspective, 66% of people working in finance, and 78% of people working in data, feel confident they will be able to retire comfortably. Inconsistent hours, pay, and amount of business can make trying to save and put away money extremely difficult for many industry workers.
We want to be able to be the buffer, and help you access the resources needed, so that you can get the things you need, without having to go into debt in order to do so.
